Landscapes of North-Holland

Commissioned by the Cultural Council of North-Holland
(Documentary Photo Assignment)

I was interested in ‘the mediocre quality' of the North Holland landscape; the smooth, common flat land.
In this series I photographed locations, that by their indeterminacy are quickly forgotten. I paid attention to traces of human presence: a path with wheel tracks, a fence, a highway, some ditches.
