Erschuettert gaat over verandering en verlies. Ik fotografeerde het op militaire terreinen nabij Berlijn, die kort na de Duitse eenwording door de Russen waren verlaten. Ooit waren deze locaties een symbool van macht. Toen ik er fotografeerde nam de natuur er weer bezit van of werden ze ontmanteld en op grond van een van de laatste wetsvoorstellen van het voormalig Oost-Duitse parlement omgevormd tot beschermd natuurgebied.
Erschuettert is about change and loss. For this work I photographed on former military sites near Berlin, left by the Soviets, shortly after the German unification. These locations were once a symbol of power. In the first decade of the 21st century, nature repossessed the territory or they were dismantled and transformed into protected nature areas on the basis of one of the last legislative proposals from the former East German parliament.
Archival Prints
We use only the highest quality acid-free fibre based paper, and the best stable, pigment based inks. Our paper has a fine, smooth surface and is ideal for printing color photographs with impressive pictorial depth.
Life expectancy of the prints is up to 200 years, or even more. More information on our prints page.
Frame
Our mounted fine art prints are framed with a classic and elegant solid wood profile, available in either black oak, light oak or white maple. All frames include Schott Mirogard® museum quality glass. This is an anti-reflection, completely transparent glass that UV protects the print and minimises reflection.
