The house of my parents
“For his project 'The House of My Parents', Theo Bos went around his parental home with the view of a modern archaeologist. What he found was a a distinct selection of objects that are both personal and universal. Personal because they are part of Bos' memories, universal because everyone will recognize them from their own parental home. For this work, Bos created a space in which straight forward photos of objects such as a vacuum cleaner and an orange doorbell are combined with portraits of his father and mother.”
